Alison Raeside Hand Made Scottish Provincial Sterling Silver Honey Jar 1978

A beautiful hand made solid sterling silver lidded jar. It is hallmarked for Edinburgh 1978 with the makers mark being AR for Alison Raeside of Dunbartonshire. It has been superbly designed being having a silver lid with a blue stone set flower and bark textured glass base. I suspect with it having a bark like base and flower lid that it was designed to hold honey but it could of course be used for other things. It is in super condition being free from dings splits chips cracks and repairs. 2.5 inches (6.4cms) across by a fraction under 2 inches (4.9cms) and weighs 109 grams in total (lid and base).
