Antique EDWARDIAN 1904 Sterling SILVER Scottish AGATE Cut Glass Trinket Box Dish. A gorgeous, highly unusual Edwardian sterling silver & Scottish agate trinket dish. Fully hallmarked Birmingham 1904 with makers stamp C&N (Crisford & Norris). The lid is a beautiful example of period silversmithing; superbly chased & engraved leaves to the silver, with inlaid segments of agate, leaf shaped and in autumnal colours. Completed with a pie crust border.
The dish is hand made from cut glass and again, is beautifully designed. The inner lid is gilded as a further mark of quality. Measurements: 5.5" by 1.75" with a depth of 1.25. Total weight: 177.7gms Weight in silver: 50.3gms. Perfect items for collectors of period agate or silver pieces. Will enhance any dressing table and perfect for holding trinkets or small jewellery items. In good antique condition; there is a kink to one end of silver protruding inner rim (see image 15)...
