This stunning antique, mid Victorian era Scottish agate and Silver bracelet is really something else. The bracelet features beautifully faceted panels of polished banded agate each with engraved silver end caps, each of these is intercepted by fine the most wonderful sugarloaf cabochon carnelians with a rich vibrant red hue that really makes this bracelet pop.
The various agate tones and patterns make this an interesting and unusual piece, particularly with the carnelian cabochons. The bracelet fastens to the front with a large heart shaped silver padlock fastener. If you are a fan of Scottish agate jewellery then this one is for you, if you are not already a fan then this piece is sure to make you fal in love with it. Unmarked, tests as sterling silver, 19th century, c1860s. Good used condition overall, light surface wear commensurate with age, small nibbles to the stones, one with a surface nick to the front and one with a small chip to the reverse, silver with light overall patina.
