Antique Scottish Agate Celtic cross brooch, Sterling silver, Victorian

This is just a stunning and grand antique, Scottish agate and Silver brooch designed as a Celtic Cross, an attractive brooch or pin from the Victorian era. The cool silver cross is chased and engraved to the front with a smooth reverse, the main points of the cross highlighted with polished slabs of Scottish agate including Bloodstone, Red Jasper and moss agate. A particularly lovely example, very versatile and can be worn in many ways with a lovely unique design. It is a fairly large sized brooch and it has an old C type clasp and pin fastener. Unmarked, tests as sterling silver, Victorian era, c1880s. Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, some tiny nibbles to some edges of the agate, brass component to the fastener. Weighs approx 10.98 grams.
