A gorgeous antique Citrine and Garnet pendant in sterling silver. A Scottish piece it has been converted from a brooch though this conversion seems to have been completed some time ago. It is a circular shaped pendant in cool sterling silver with a heavy aged patina, there is light engraving to the front and the pendant is adorned with alternating flat cut garnets and citrines in bezel settings.
The front centre houses a large faceted citrine claw set with a lovely rich lemon hue. Unmarked, tests as sterling silver, c1880s, Victorian era. Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age and use, very heavy patina, converted from a brooch.
1.35 length with bale. Weighs approx 7.41 grams.
