Antique Scottish silver brooch, hardstone and paste, Victorian

Antique Victorian Scottish silver brooch / pin. A gorgeous shaped circular brooch in a typical celtic style in sterling silver, it is set with hardstone panels and has a large central prong set cairnorgm glass stone. There are four rich red garnet coloured paste cabochons set into the corners. The silver is lightly engraved and has an old c type clasp fastener.

Unmarked, tests as sterling silver, c1880s. Good used condition overall, small chip to one of the stones, some wear to the reverse, small ding to the top of the silver, soft solder visible to the fastener. Weighs approx 11.59 grams.
