For sale is a Victorian Sterling Silver hollow work pendant featuring an etched Celtic knot design that has been converted from a brooch at some point in its history. It measures 6.7 cm (2.6 inches) in length including the bail ring, 3.7 cm in width, 2 mm in thickness, and weighs a total of 12 grams. In addition it features a diamond lozenge registration mark on its reverse (image 6) that dates the registration of this piece to December 14th 1871. It is otherwise unmarked but has been tested and confirmed to be made from Sterling grade silver. Please be aware that this is an antique pendant and so it will display wear commensurate with its age. This includes light surface scratches, indentations, and small areas of tarnishing. In addition the back of the pendant has two areas of damage from when it was converted from a brooch (Images 9 & 10), however these does not distract from the beauty of this pendant. Overall a beautiful Scottish Celtic knot pendant in excellent wearable condition. Before purchasing please ensure that you are certain this item will fit the intended recipient.
