A beautiful antique Scottish brooch from the mid-Victorian era crowned with a golden-brown paste stone in the center that resembles a large Cairngorm. It's haloed by a border of half moon agate & Bloodstone petals in a round silver base with intricate engraving in between. Scottish jewelry grew in popularity in the mid- 1800s as Queen Victoria's frequent trips to her Scottish Castle Balmoral saw her return with Scottish souvenirs and jewelry which influenced the trend in Britain.
