Here we have a beautiful ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SCOTTISH PEBBLE AGATE SILVER BRACELET in excellent antique condition. The bracelet consists of seven beautifully matched and carved agates - three black banded agates, two TREFOIL shaped and one larger OVAL shaped in the centre, all are carved and shaped so the silver strapping fits snugly over holding them in place; four ROUND shaped and deeply carved carnelian agates - two a lovely orange and two darker toffee coloured. All the agates are set on an open silver framework, secured by silver strapping over the stones and finished in the centre with a beautiful engraved flower head. There is a simple spring ring closure (possibly not original). There are no markings on the silver, which is quite usual on these Victorian pieces. Dates to around the 1880's. There is a small chip on the edge of one carnelian piece and the silver strapping has come away on two sides of this stone (see photos 8, 17 and 18 showing this), a simple silver weld by a jeweller will easily repair this. Comes in a nice antique bracelet presentation box (not original to the piece). 8" long x 1 1/4" at its widest. Please study the photos for details and condition.
