Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Scottish Agate Large Brooch

ANTIQUE VICTORIAN STERLING SILVER SCOTTISH AGATE LARGE BROOCH. A lovely large antique Victorian, circa 1880, solid sterling silver and Scottish agate lovers knot brooch. This has inlaid Montrose agates and measures 2 1/4" by 1 3/4" (5.8cm by 4.5cm). The weight is 24 grams. There is gorgeous engraving on the knots and the agates are in very good antique condition.

The c-clasp pin is in fine working order. The silver is not marked, as was common during the period, but has been tested. Txzj pxzj37833 txzj-11 txzj115 txzj117.
