ENGLISH STERLING SILVER PRESENTATION TROPHY HIP FLASK, DIXON SHEFFIELD c1925. A good quality, English Sterling Silver Hip Flask. The base is hallmarked with the maker's mark "JD&S" for James Dixon & Sons Limited (Sheffield). The Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the crown Sheffield town mark and date letter "h" for 1925/26. The hip flask was presented as the Scotch Terrier Breeders Trophy, awarded to Charles Young in January 1927 (see photo of inscription).

The flask is stamped with the capacity 1/2 Pint. It measures 150mm x 100mm x 30mm.

The weight is 320.5g. The flask is in good condition with surface scratches to the lower half where it is removed from the cup.
