This is a finest quality pair of novelty Scottish Sterling Silver pepperettes in the form of Scottish quaichs (twin-handled drinking cups) made by the celebrated Scottish Silversmiths Brook & Son with date marks for Edinburgh 1928.
In a very heavy gauge of Sterling Silver, they are depicted in a tapering cylindrical pedestal form with pierced domed tops, while standing over trumpet feet. They measure, 3" (7.5cm) H x 2 3/8" (6cm) W (across the base) and weighs 138 gms approx; and are in excellent condition with no defect at all to report, in fact they look to have had a good professional polish, as they each have an almost mirror finish - and yes, apologies for the reflections, they couldn't be helped.
