GEORGIAN SCOTTISH SILVER BROOCH Horseshoe Pink Cowrie Shells 19th Century

Lovely Georgian Horseshoe Brooch in Sterling Silver and set with Seven Pale Pink Cowrie Shells. This is a gorgeous little silver horseshoe brooch dating from the Early 19th Century. Seven graduated pale pink cowrie shells have been claw-set into a silver backed mount. The shells are of the palest shade of pink and show lovely striated markings.

This is an unusual and rare little item, a true survivor from the early 1800s. Measuring just 3cm across, this delightful brooch will add a touch of Georgian class to any outfit and will certainly stand out from the crowd, especially at the races.
