This pendant is stamped "OMG" for Ola Gorie with early Edinburgh sterling silver hallmark for 1976. The Old Man Of Hoy is a 449 ft sandstone sea stack off the coast of Orkney and was first climbed in 1966 by a team including Chris Bonnington, Rusty Baillie and Tom Patey and in 1967 they again climbed the stack in a liver BBC broadcast that also included Joe Bown and Ian Mcnaught-Davis plus Pete Crew and Dougal Haston.
