LARGE Sterling Silver Scottish Iona Brooch Alexander Ritchie 1960s Dawson Bowman

This is a LARGE fabulous sterling silver celtic brooch from Iona - in good condition with beautiful design - approx. Size 49mms in diameter weighing 24.8 grams. This brooch is stamped " Scotland ", "Sterling" and "DB" for Hamish Dawson Bowman who produced examples of Alexander Ritchie designs. This design was originally a penanuler brooch but a pin and locking clasp were added in this later design in 1960s when made by Hamish Dawson Bowman.
