An intricate penannular brooch was found in a 9th century woman's grave on the west coast of Rousay. Probably coming to Orkney through barter or pillage, it was undoubtedly a treasured possession. This brooch [Called Pin in USA] is in good vintage condition and is marked with Ola's early makers mark "OMG" and an Edinburgh hallmark with the date mark "E" for 1979, supplied in a lovely Ola Gorie presentation gift box. Diamensions - Around 2.5" x 1 3/4" or 6.3cm x 4.7cm.
