Pre-1881 Antique Scottish Grant Clan Badge Sterling Silver Plaid Brooch

This represents Craigelachie, ie the mountain of the cry of distress, on which a fire was lighted to call the Grant clan together to Strathspey. When drawn up in battle the chiefs word was "Stand fast, " which is now used fot the motto of the Grants.
