QUALITY SOLID STERLING SILVER SNUFF BOX 2000 GALLAGHER 66g SCOTTISH

A super quality solid sterling silver box. It is hallmarked for Edinburgh 2000 with the maker being PJD for Peter John Doherty, made for Gallagher's who had links to Aspreys and Garrards. It has a stylish engine turned design and is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. The hinge is smooth and tight, the lid tight fitting. The JJG (J J Gallagher) logo is on the base.

It measures over 2 inches (5.4cm) across by over 1.5 inches (3.7cm) wide by 0.5 inch (1.2cm) tall and weighs 66grams. A very high quality example.
