Scottish Brooch Solid Silver Silver Thistle Hallmarked Glasgow Dates 1951

Antique Heavy silver Scottish thistle brooch with a central claw set citrine coloured stone, hallmark to the back is scratched but some information still there. Makers mark for'RGL', Robert G Lawrie Ltd, who was registered with the Glasgow assay office from 1908. Brooch designed in a Scottish Victorian manner and dates for 1951. Very heavy weight at 25.3 grams with a good pin and roll catch, tested as silver. Designed with thistles and Celtic motifs, the brooch measuring 46.7mm across with a 16mm citrine.

Overall in very good condition with signs of pre-usage commensurate with age. Will come in a new presentation box.
