Scottish hardstone brooch, sterling silver, vintage/antique. GE/1706

A Scottish smaller size kilt brooch or possibly a plaid brooch but definitely suitable for a lapel, circular in shape with a selection of 6 agate panels around the outer edge, they are jasper, blood stone, banded agate and creamy agate, with to the centre, a large purple paste stone to look like amethyst, but it isn't. It is in the later style and made in the period from 1910s to the 1930s, stamped to the reverse, "sterling silver" with makers mark partially obliterated. 3 cm or just over 1.1/4 inch.

Partially cleaned and has nice gentle toning.
