A Pictish symbol which occurs throughout Orkney and Scotland, this design was inspired by the stone carving at the Brough of Birsay in Orkney, for further information and an image of original see internet. Dimensions of brooch around :4.5 cm long x 3.2 cm high. [About 1.5" long] Has Ola's early makers mark "OMG" and an Edinburgh hallmark marked on the back with date letter "O indicating 1969. Hand made in the Orkney Islands between the north coast of Scotland and Norway. Supplied with a lovely Ola Gorie gift box.
