Scottish Silver Granite Pendant Necklace /Love Heart Peterhead Granite Victorian

925 silver Scottish Love Heart Pendant Chain. Pendant is not hallmarked as a lot of antique jewellery was not stamped but has been tested as 925 sterling silver. Pendant dates to the late Victorian period around 1880 - 1900. The pendant is in the form of a Scottish love heart with the central sections beautifully engraved in the shape of a cross.

It is set with four pieces of Aberdeen or Peterhead granite as it's sometimes known. The stones are in very good condition with only a few tiny nibbles to a few edges.

This is to be expected as the piece is over 130 years old. The chain is made of 925 solid silver with unusual twisted rope type links, which are beautifully made. The chain is stamped Sterling on the clasp for 925 solid silver.

Chain is in very good condition with no damage or marks. Links measure - 2.5 mm wide. Pendant measures - 4 cm height x 3 cm wide. Total Weight - 17 grams of 925 sterling silver.
