This is a very nice quality and very heavy gauge of solid sterling silver quaich, a Scottish drinking receptical or bowl. The piece is hallmarked by the Edinburgh assay office for the year 1966 and the makers mark for J B Chatterly & Sons, as shown. The bowl measures 12.5 cms in diameter excluding the handle and is 22 cms wide from handle to handle. It sits to a height of 6.5 cms.
The piece weighs approximately 340g. It is overall in good antique condition with no damage, however each handle has been engraved with the letters D and A, which could be removed if required. Do remember this is a vintage piece, so do not expect a brand new looking item. If you have any questions please ask.
