This lovely example was made in Scotland by Hamish Dawson Bowman (DB), a well known Scottish silversmith who founded "CAI" - Celtic Art Industries in 1945. The silver hallmark for Edinburgh and makers stamp on this piece date it to 1970 but it could have been made earlier.
This finely made piece retains original fully functional locking clasp, Victorian style tubular hinge and pin stem. Under close inspection, I noticed the clasp is just slightly dipping in the lock position and may need a small repair, it is in otherwise good condition. Height 3.5 cm x width 2.1 cm x thickness 1.4 mm. This item is in the category "Jewellery & Watches\Fine Jewellery\Brooches & Pins". The seller is "hnco" and is located in this country: AU.
