It is hallmarked for Edinburgh 2002 with the makers mark being those of Peter Doherty - a highly regarded silversmith, it has been made for Gallaghers having their JJG logo on the base. Gallagher's were associated with Aspreys, Garrads and other top end retailers.

It has been stylishly hand made being engine turned with a concealed hinge, cast catch, and internal gilding. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs.
