Superb Henderson & Horner Bros Scottish Solid Sterling Silver Penannular Brooch

This is a Stunning piece of Vintage Collectable Scottish Jewellery. Made in Solid Sterling Silver it is a Penannular Brooch featuring a simple Celtic pattern that was designed to be worn on a Cloak or Scarf. It is fully hallmarked as photographed with Made In Scotland and the random number 178 then H & H Brs for the maker, the Tree for Glasgow Assay Office, the Lion Rampant mark for Silver, the Thistle mark for Scottish Silver, the date letter y for 1947 and it has been electronically tested at a precious metal refinery to confirm the metal content. It weighs 12.2g, measures 40mm high x 38mm wide and the pin is 40mm long.

As is normal with these brooches the pin is not made of silver as it would be too weak. It is in a used but good condition for its age with no damage and just surface wear.
