The Ladle is a very imposing 38.5cm/15.25 inches Long, and weighs a very good 227gms, it is of the of THE OLD ENGLISH PATTERN WITH A CELTIC POINT to the handle, it is not monogrammed it may have been in the past but if it was it is long gone, please look at the pictures, Although the ladle is big it has a very elegant feel to it.
The Hallmarks are very crisp and clear , the spoon is made of a good gauge of silver. The condition is very good Antique condition for a spoon that is approx 230 years old it has very little wear to the bowl, a nice polished finish, a couple of tiny pin prick's in the bowl, no repairs or damage, surface scratches commensurate with age, it has been used, a very collectable 18th century item of SCOTTISH PROVINCIAL silver that would grace any collection.
