Victorian 1880's Scottish silver &Malachite Brooch. A Scottish beautifully, decoratively, etched silver with lightly polished natural malachite agates brooch. It has been set in a circular crescent & round cabochon pattern. This is an exceptionally beautiful Victorian silver and agate Scottish brooch. Made in Scotland around 1860, probably in Edinburgh, it is unmarked which is entirely usual with these types of jewellery.
It is in excellent condition It has a tight "C" style clasp on the back and crisp engraving between the agates. There are No hallmarks which was normal in this period. Simple C clasp and tube pin (4 cms) hinge in full working order. 2ins (5cms) approx in diameter in a doughnut shape. Due to Age this is not hall marked but tests for silver. A rare pattern and quite beautiful! When parcels are heavy and or bulky I use Parcel Force international World wide.Contact me to find out likely cost before point of sale. I do not provide invoices.
