Victorian Scottish silver presentation case, brooch and scarf rings C1840's

This is abeautiful presentation set containing two scarf rings and a brooch. All set in to a fitted jewelers case faintly marked for Ross and sons Goldsmith Gasgow.

This set was presented to John Laurie Fogo who became the minister of Row Manse (church), some time before 1851, (can't find any earlier records). He was born in 1800 and I think this was probably presented to him when he became the minister.

The brooch is inscribed J. Laurie Fogo from his aunts and uncle and has laurels and a crucifix on the front. The scarf rings are both inscribed "from his grandfather and grandmother" On the front of the scarf rings is a beautiful belt and buckle design.

None of the items are hallmarked, which is not unusual for silver items of this age, but I acid tested one piece just to make certain, (no scratching) and it tested silver. There can be no disputing that this is an absolutely unique piece. This item is in the category "Jewellery & Watches\Fine Jewellery\Brooches & Pins".

The seller is "antiguadivin" and is located in this country: GB.
