Vintage Gorgeous Large Scottish Silver Amethist Onyx and Marcasite Plaid Brooch. A very ornate large silver Scottish plaid brooch set with an oval faceted amethyst stone at the top, two circular faceted amethyst stones and a pear shaped faceted amethyst stone at the bottom, also set with two. Large oval faceted black onyx stones, the stones are beautifully mounted and bordered in lovely. As far as I can see just one little marcasite stone is missing at the very bottom of the brooch this. Is not particularly noticable and has been reflected in the asking price. A very lovely Vintage brooch.

The brooch is stamped with the word Vintage and also stamped Sterling and with the maker. Or sponsors mark which looks like J. The brooch measures 3.1/2 inches (88.20mm) by 1.3.4 inches (46.30mm). Because as you may be aware gold bullion is now rising at a record high price.
