Vintage Ola Gorie Silver Pendant OMG 1970s Tigers Eye MG Ortak Ring Sterling 925
Elegant Vintage Ola Gorie Silver and Tiger's Eye Pendant signed'OMG' for Ola Marie Gorie a very early piece dating from circa 1960 - 1970s paired with a fabulous matching Tigers Eye Malcolm Gray Ortak Ring from the same era. Both are fabulous early vintage pieces dating from circa 1960's to the 1970's. Fully assayed and tested 925 Sterling Silver including the fine quality faceted belcher chain. The pendant is a modernist interpretation of the wonderful ancient Celtic Designs from the Orkney Isles that Ola Gorie took her inspiration from when making her wonderful Scottish Silver Jewellery. It is stamped'OMG' and'St Sil' to the reverse of the pendant.
The super vintage Tiger's Eye ring is by the other renowned Orkney Silversmith and jewellery maker of the era Malcolm Gray of Ortak fame. The ring is fully hallmarked assayed in London in 1976 with'MG' makers mark to the ring for Malcolm Gray of Ortak Silver. Fabulous original vintage 1970's Jewellery in a super Modernist Design mashed with the tradition of Orkney Scottish Silver Jewellery. Both set with Glowing Chatoyant and Adularescence (the fabulous Cat's Eye glowing effect that makes this stone so wonderful) of Large Tiger's Eye Cabochons (20mms ring 22 mms pendant both just under an inch). Length of the very nice Sterling Silver chain to pendant is approximately 22 inches, (56cms) stamped'Sterling' to the sprung ring fastener.Pendant stone is pristine tiny bit of wear to the ring stone due to age but not at all noticeable when worn.
