Vintage Scottish Sterling Silver & Citrine Gemstone Penannular Brooch or Pin

A fine vintage Scottish Brooch or Pin. A so-called Penannular brooch traditionally used as a closure for cloaks or plaids.

Comprised of a cast silver C shaped body terminating with 2 prong-set faceted citrine gemstones and mounted with a cast silver pin. Marked with Scottish hallmarks for Glasgow / Sterling / 1961 / and a maker's mark of JC to the reverse. Simply a wonderful Scottish pin! It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. There is some light edge wear, some fine and light surface scratches, and other signs of light wear consistent with age. Marked Sterling for silver fineness. Please see our other related items.
