This came from an estate with lots of vintage, cultural, and artisan pieces. William Johnson & Sons Scottish Citrine Sterling Cairngorm Kilt pin - Birmingham England. The pin on the back has a bend in the middle.

I'm not sure if this is how it's designed, or if it's actually bent. It does still latch properly.
